4.9.2018   High-tech low-maintenance solution for complex problem - the core idea of Resonance Killer broadband mass damper is to enable more freedom in structural design for vibration control. Lighter structures, changing environmental conditions, variation between product individuals - these challenges can be met with competitive cost level. 

The application size scale for the technology is extensive. Within one month,  ReKi damper deliveries vary in size from 100g to 5000kg for different applications. These dampers were delivered during summer 2018.

28.5.2018   Marine applications require vibration proof equipment. With the Resonance Killer technology, our customer passed the DNV-GL vibration testing requirement for their new product version.

In this application the ReKi proved to be superior solution, surpassing structural re-designs in terms of cost, delivery time and simplicity in design.

During the actual vibration tests we supported the customer through the tests to success.

5.6.2017   International conference on Port and Ocean Engineering under Arctic Conditions  (POAC 2017 in Busan, Korea)

Vibrol participates and publish a paper in international conference on port and ocean engineerin under arctic conditions ( The publication is done in co-operation with Technical Research Center of Finland, Tevo and Vibrol. Presentation: "Propulsion Shaft Line Ice-induced Dynamic Torque Response Calculation and Comparison to Full Scale " is on June 15th.

20.3.2017   Vibration control using simulation

Vibrol conducted vibration control with combination of long term measurements and simulation. Structure vibration was monitored with long term measurements using strain gages and accelerometers. The data was used as validation background for dynamic simulation model of the structure, and new vibration dampers were dimensioned with the combination of measurement and simulation succesfully.

14.2.2017 Lifex program

The top product of Vibrol Oy – the ReKi™ Resonance Killer is being developed further in DIMECC’s Lifex program. The companies involved using ReKi™ technology in this program are Wärtsilä, Meyer Turku, Sampo-Rosenlew, BRP-Finland and SimulOne. The research organizations pushing the boundaries of theory to application are Aalto University and VTT.

Goal is to improve mathematical simulation model of the ReKi™ to be available in structural design and do feasibility studies in new applications.

17.1.2017 Vibrol delivers increased passenger comfort in arctic vessel

Vibrol’s solution MaRe – Master of Resonance increased passenger comfort in crew cabins on arctic vessel “Arctech NB 511”, by reducing vibration levels in cabin floors. Turn-key delivery synchronized with customer schedule, at ship sea-trial stage. MaRe decreased vibrations to acceptable level without any structural changes to cabin floor or deck that would have been challenging at the sea trial stage.


Vibrol has delivered more than 60 tons of moving mass in ReKi™ - Resonance Killer product globally. Vibration control tool has been used in many applications from big diesel engines & generators to marine structures & powerplants.


Vibrol has delivered first "green mass damper" that was built using 95% of recycled materials.

IVM - Innovative Vibration Management research & development program starts. Project is dedicated to research and developmet of ReKi™ technology. Total project budget is more than 1.4 M€ and participant companies are leaders in their business segment. Vibrol has key role in both research and execution of results. Project starts 1.6.2016 and it is finished in the end of 2018.
